GRAY — Certified firearm and archery safety instructors for the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife and University of Maine 4-H Camp and Learning Center in Bryant Pond, will give hands-on practice with an introduction to the sports of archery and laser rifle target shooting from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 12, at the Maine Wildlife Park, Route 26.
Kids age 9 and up will have a chance to try their hand at archery, shoot a bow and learn basic safety and shooting skills with 4-H shooting sports instructors.
From 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., young folks ages 6 and up will have a chance to learn basic gun handling and shooting skills while using our laser rifles.
Staff from the UMaine 4-H camp will set up targets, showcase a variety of bows and provide instruction for target practice. The activities are for families, all genders and all age groups. For more information, visit https://extension.umaine.edu/bryantpond/4-h-shooting-sports/.
