Laying wreath
FARMINGTON – The Veterans of World War I Auxiliary and the American Legion Color Guard will have a brief wreath-laying service at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at the Memorial Arch, North Main Street. Inside services will follow at the American Legion Home on High Street.

FARMINGTON – The Sandy River Valley Chapter, Maine Genealogical Society, will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Farmington Public Library. Kathy Lynch will provide a program that explains the procedure for “Scanning and Adding Photos to Our Family History.” Anyone with an interest in genealogy is welcome.
Square dance
WILTON – The Friendship Squares Dance Club will have dance starting at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at Cushing School. The caller will be Jim Belanger and round dance cuer will be Kitty Doar.
Craft fair
TEMPLE – The 25th annual Temple Craft Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Temple Town Hall. There will be 27 tables of handcrafted gifts. Homemade pies, bread, lunches and snacks will be available for sale to benefit the Temple Volunteer Fire Department.
Hunter’s supper
SALEM – The annual hunter’s baked bean supper will take place from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Salem Community Building. The menu will include beans, hot dogs, salads, homemade breads and pies. Proceeds will be used to sponsor the annual children’s Christmas tree. The supper is sponsored by the Salem Pine Tree Club.
Breakfast set
NEW VINEYARD – A hunter’s breakfast, open to the public, will be held from 5 to 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at Smith Hall. The menu will include bacon, sausage, eggs, homefries, toast, homemade doughnuts and beverages. Cost is adults, $5; children under 12, $3. The breakfast is sponsored by the New Vineyard North Snowmobile Club.
