Officer chosen
FARMINGTON – The Farmington Police Department Employee of the Quarter for the summer of 2005 is Brian A. Ross, who was selected for his constant vigilance for impaired drivers and looking beyond the initial vehicle stop, according to Police Chief Richard E. Caton III.
During the summer, Ross made numerous arrests for operating under the influence. Ross made several arrests during the morning and early afternoon hours, Caton said. Some were under the influence of alcohol, some the influence of prescription drugs and some the influence of illegal drugs.
Ross’ efforts, Caton said, likely prevented serious motor vehicle crashes that could have resulted in property damages, personal injuries or even a fatality. “His work helped to create the feeling of safety for our citizens, which is the primary mission of the Farmington Police Department,” Caton added.
