LEWISTON – The United Methodist Committee on Relief is preparing and distributing health kits to the people in need in response to the damage caused by Hurricane Katrina.

Each kit contains a hand towel, wash cloth, nail file, bath-size soap bar, toothbrush in original wrapper, toothpaste and adhesive plastic strip sterile bandages.

Items may be brought to Calvary United Methodist Church at 59 Sabattus St., often referred to as “the church in the triangle,” between 10 a.m. and noon Mondays.

Although there is a specific need at this time, the health care kits are prepared on a continuing basis to aid those in need throughout the country and the world.
