FARMINGTON – A program of music and humor will be sponsored by the “kitchen committee” of Farmington’s Old South Church at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at the church.
The church’s widely-used community kitchen is undergoing major renovations and the committee will offer the program as a benefit for that purpose. The concert, “Food, Glorious, Food!,” will take on the format of a menu with Stan Wheeler as the “chef”/emcee.
Specials on the musical “menu” will include the Mount Blue Voices, Farmington’s Three Tenors (Alan Shumway, Dan Woodward and Dick Morton), the Hot Airs Flute Ensemble, Ruth Hill, the Old South Choir directed by Joel Hayden and the Hopeful Corvettes.
Since this is a fund-raising, one-night-only event, a donation of $10 may be given at the door, but any amount will be appreciated. Refreshments will be available for purchase during intermission.
