WILTON – The Wilton Blueberry Farm, located on the McLaughlin Road, will donate all the proceeds from its “pick your own” sales from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, to the Wilton Free Public Library, according to farm owners and operators, Jan Collins and Irv Faunce. Rain date is Sunday, Sept. 4.

“We look forward to giving the library a great beginning to its fall fund-raising appeal,” the Collins-Faunce family said. “We are pleased to give back to a library that provides so much for this community.”

“In addition, people will be able to have the fun of picking a healthy food, blueberries, while they are helping out the library,” they said.

Library Director Vaughan Gagne, in response to the fund-raising offer, said, “This is one of the neatest fund-raisers ever! After working so hard at the summer book sale, picking blueberries will be great fun. As I was making posters for the event, library patrons were becoming excited and couldn’t wait to spread the word about picking berries for the library.”

“Library trustees and the WFPL staff thank the Collins-Faunce family for their thoughtfulness, generosity and friendship. This truly is a great way to kick off the annual fall fund-raising appeal,” she said.
