STRONG – Alice Ryder was named Employee of the Month at Strong Nursing Home recently.

Ryder is a cook and has worked at the facility for seven years. Staff said Ryder is a wonderful cook and she fills the halls with the aroma of her menu for the day. She is always looking for someone to sample the “goodie” for the day. There is a never-ending line of volunteers to help her.

Ryder lives in Strong with her husband. She likes gardening and canning and making jelly, jam, and whatever else she can gather from the garden. She also loves flower gardens. The grandchildren keep her busy, and reading is a favorite pastime.
