OXFORD – Pediatrician Dr. Danielle Tran, Western Maine Pediatrics, recently spent time with Boxberry School students to talk about health and nutrition.

Tran read “The Hungry Caterpillar” by Eric Carle and discussed the caterpillar’s food choices with students. “Do you think the caterpillar was smart to eat all this food?” she asked.

Tran also talked about how the body uses food and the importance of making wise choices as well as exercising regularly. She ended the session by inviting questions from the students, such as “Why is blood blue inside and red when it comes out?”

Tran came in as a guest for Boxberry’s Friday afternoon community program. Anyone wanting more information about Boxberry can visit www.boxberryschool.org.
