STARKS – The Starks Progressive Club is holding a rummage and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Jan. 28 and 29, at Memorial Hall.
Church supper
WILTON – First Apostolic Church will hold a public supper from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, to benefit the building fund. The menu includes beans, hot dogs, potato salad, coleslaw, casseroles, rolls, beverage and dessert. Cost is adults, $5; children, $3.
Ministry meeting
PHILLIPS – Phillips Shared Ministry will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, at the Community House to discuss and vote on changes to the bylaws. Changes concern committee organization and membership.
Services held
PHILLIPS – The Phillips Shared Ministry and the Kingfield United Methodist Church dedicated their Jan. 9 services to remembrance and giving for the victims of the Indian Ocean tsunami. The service included prayers, readings and special music written for the memorial day. Phillips church has collected $239 and Kingfield has given $268 allocated to the relief work in that tragedy.
Other upcoming events for Phillips include a discussion and voting on changes to the bylaws at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, at the Community House. Mount Blue Voices will give a concert on Saturday, Feb. 12, at the Phillips Methodist Church. A public supper will be held at 6 p.m. followed by the concert at 7. An offering will be taken for the chorus.
