CARTHAGE – Carthage Historical Society will hold its 11th annual business meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 18, at the Carthage Town Office building, preceded by a potluck supper at 5:30 p.m.

The speakers will be Gail Parent and Joyce Morgan, co-authors with their siblings of the recently published book, “Once Upon a Farm,” stories of growing up on a family-owned dairy farm in Western Maine during the ’30s and ’40s. Parent is a local story teller. Morgan still lives on the farm purchased by their immigrant parents immediately before the Great Depression.
