AUBURN – Area residents can be screened to reduce their risk of having a stroke on Wednesday, May 26, when Life Line Screening will be at the Auburn-Lewiston YMCA, 62 Turner St. Appointments will begin at 10 a.m.
Screenings involve ultrasound technology and scan for potential health problems related to blocked arteries, aortic aneurysms and hardening of the arteries in the legs. Also offered is a bone density screening to assess risk for osteoporosis.
Each screening requires 10 minutes or less to complete. A complete vascular screening package, including the stroke/carotid artery, abdominal aortic aneurysm and ankle brachial index (hardening of the arteries) screenings is $99. Sign-up for a complete vascular package, include the osteoporosis screening, is $125.
