KINGFIELD – Employees from UnitedKingfield Bank participated in local classrooms on Thursday, April 15, to help children learn their financial “ABCs” and become “smart savers.”

Gov. John Baldacci proclaimed April 15 as “Teach Children to Save Day” in Maine. The initiative is part of the National Teach Children to Save Day, a nationwide event to teach kids their financial ABCs. The presentations included discussions, games and hands-on activities.

The following UnitedKingfield Bank employees made presentations in public schools throughout their market area: Cathy Moore, Lucy Johnston, Ray Teixeira, Rob McKay, Jean Larsen, Dawn Field, Dora Sargent, Sheila Waldeck, Mary Devou and Angela Cossette.
