DIXFIELD – Neighborly Senior Citizens met on July 21 at the American Legion with 74 present. President Connie Tutlis read “Lighthouse” and “As You Go Through Life.” Fifty-eight took the trip to Cabbage Island. Observing July birthdays were Homer Newell, Irene Austin, Jean Griffin, Harold Buker and Priscilla Robinson. Observing July anniversaries were Bill and Cecile Packard, 55 years; Hector and Rita Girardin, 46 years; and Henry and Priscilla Dupill, 52 years.
Get well cards were signed for Alvine Arsenault and Cecile Lescault. Door prizes were won by Thelma Judkins and Joyce Welch. Norman and Betty Decoteau provided entertainment.
Departure time for the Aug. 20 Belfast-Moosehead Trip will be 9 a.m., with the first pickup in Mexico. There is still space available on the Sept. 28 trip to the Balsams and the Oct. 18 trip to Octoberfest at Indian Head Resort, New Hampshire. Two buses will be going on the trip, with the Neighborly Seniors observing their 35th anniversary.
The Oct. 31, Nov. 1, 2 and 3 annual mystery trip is open to anyone interested in going. There are still a few seats available for the Sept. 8 and 9 trip to Foxwoods-Mohegan Sun-Great Cedar.
