ELLSWORTH – The Maine Community Foundation announces scholarships it has available for Oxford County students. Towns involved include Denmark, Fryeburg area and Rumford area.
The Denmark Lions Club Community Fund provides scholarship support to residents of Denmark, who are pursuing a post-secondary education at the college or technical school level. Anyone interested in this scholarship should get an application from Denmark Town Office starting March 1. The deadline for filing is April 30.
The Janet Davidson Hammond Medical Scholarship of the Molly Ockett Chapter, DAR, supports graduating seniors from Fryeburg Academy, Lake Region High School and Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School who plan to major in nursing or physical therapy at a two-year teclmical college or a four-year college or university. Students interested should contact their guidance offices or Maine Community Foundation. Application deadline is April 15.
The Rumford High School Class of 1971 Scholarship Fund supports graduating seniors of Mountain Valley High School who are pursuing a post secondary education at a college or community college. For more information, contact the Mountain Valley High School guidance office.
