AUBURN – Residents living in the Auburn area can be screened to reduce their risk of having a stroke. Life Line Screening will be at Edward Little High School on Tuesday, Nov. 25. Appointments will begin at 10 a.m.

The screenings are fast and painless. They involve the use of ultrasound technology and scan for potential health problems related to blocked arteries, which can lead to a stroke; aortic aneurysms, which can lead to a ruptured aorta; and hardening of the arteries in the legs, which are a predictor of heart disease. A bone density screening will assess the risk for osteoporosis.

Each screening requires 10 minutes or less to complete. A vascular screening package is $99. Sign-up for a complete package, including the osteoporosis screening, costs $125.

For more information regarding the screenings or to schedule an appointment, call 1-800-643-6188. Pre-registration is required.
