Help seniors
AUBURN – Make A Difference Day, Oct. 25, is a day when volunteers from coast to coast pull out their can-do spirits and vow to volunteer. Local Modern Woodmen of America members joined the nationwide effort.
Members of the Auburn camp made a difference by providing note cards and stamps to elderly shut-ins. Camp members kicked off activities on Oct. 25 at Senior Plus, Oxford.
An advocate of volunteerism, Modern Woodmen sponsors a variety of Make A Difference Day activities, which camps personalize for their communities.
“On Make A Difference Day, hundreds of our members can look forward to feeling good by doing good and being a part of a nationally recognized event,” said local Modern Woodmen representative Deborah Wagemann.
