BETHEL – The public is invited between 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 25, to come and pick up bathroom fixtures, sinks, medicine cabinets, doors and storm windows from the former motel section that was added to the historic 1821 Robinson House in the early 1930s.
The section is being removed to make way for the future restoration of the connected farm buildings (ell and barn) that were demolished in 1931. Any donation one wishes to make for the above items will be gratefully accepted and benefit the Bethel Historical Society’s capital campaign.
Registrations are continuing to come in for the society’s fall course “Wood and Woods: Logging and Landscape in Northern New England.” Classes will take place on Nov. 4, Nov. 10 and Dec. 1 and will be held at the society’s Regional History Center.
For more information or to register, call the society office at (207) 824-2908 or (800) 824-2910 or use the e-mail address: [email protected]. Course fees are $8 for society members and $10 for non-members. Everyone is welcome.
