LEWISTON – Post 22, American Legion, will hold a membership meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, at Trinity Episcopal Church hall, 247 Bates St. The guest speaker will be Mark Stevens, LCSW, Lewiston Vet Center. All members are asked to attend as there will be information concerning veterans of all eras.

Scholarships for students going to a school of higher learning will be awarded to Kevin Simoneau and Chris Boisvert.

The agenda will include a membership and financial update; report from Building Committee Chairman Joseph Paradis; preparation for memorial services for the U.S. Marine massacre at Beirut, Lebanon, Oct. 23, 1983, and the terrorist bombing of the U.S.S. Cole, Oct. 17, 2000. Ceremonies will be held at Veterans Memorial Park at 9 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, rain or shine.
