LEWISTON – A Lunch N’ Learn series is under way at the Hillview Resource Center. All workshops are free and open to the public. To register, call 783-8539.

Tuesday, Oct. 7, from 9 to 11 a.m., the Hillview and Meadowview holiday bazaars will be discussed. The Hillview event is scheduled for Nov. 8 and 9 and Meadowview, Nov. 15. Crafters are wanted.

Those who attend the session will help plan the events and learn more about Lewiston Housing Authority’s community service requirement.

Tuesday, Oct. 14, from 9 to 11 a.m., Mary LaFontaine from Faithworks will explain how to get a nontraditional job at Faithworks.

Tuesday, Oct. 21, from 9 to 11 a.m., MEOC 101: Essentials of College Planning. The session is on assistance in applying for college, the fundamentals of financing and introduction to educational opportunities in the area. Tina McDonald, MEOC counselor from Portland, will lead the discussion.

Tuesday, Oct. 28, form 9 to 11 a.m., Lisa Daggett of the Maine Centers for Women, Community will offer information on conflict resolution and self-esteem.
