LIVERMORE – The LaClaires will present a bluegrass and country gospel concert at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, at the North Livermore Baptist Church, Route 4 and Crash Road. Phil and Ellen LaClaire keep alive a family musical tradition which spans four generations.

Performing with them will be Beverly LaClaire, Jeanine Loubier and Dave Knightly. Refreshments will follow the concert. Donations at the door.

College search

JAY – Parents of Jay High School seniors are invited to attend an information session regarding the college search and application process at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, in the high school library.

Topics up for discussion will include the search and application process, available resources for parents and students, college visitation information and suggestions as well as a review of the high school guidance office resources and procedures. Contact the guidance office at 897-4336 for more information.

LIVERMORE – The Livermore Public Library will be open continuously from 1 to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays starting Tuesday, Oct. 14.

Crafters needed

WILTON – The G.H. Bass Distribution Center is looking for crafters to help raise money for its Community Contribution Fund. The fair will be held Saturday, Nov. 8, at 128 Weld St. Set-up time will be 7:30 a.m. with the fair being held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The price is $10 per 5-foot table space. Registration deadline is Oct. 10 and the fee is non-refundable.

Church news

FARMINGTON FALLS – Rally Day was celebrated at the 9 a.m. worship service on Oct. 21 at the Farmington Falls Baptist Church. Maurice Hovey was the musical accompanist. The adult class began a study of the church’s constitution.

New members will be given the right hand of fellowship on World Wide Communion Sunday at the 9 a.m. service on Sunday, Oct. 5.
