FARMINGTON – Franklin Community Health Network has selected Diane Staples as the monthly-featured employee of the Stars Incentive Program. Staples is a registered diagnostic medical sonographer and has worked in the radiology department at Franklin Memorial Hospital for two years.

The Stars Incentive Program was developed by Franklin Community Health Network to show employee-to-employee appreciation for little, but special things that are done for each other.

Staples received her winning blue star from Missy Therrien for “often staying late to accommodate patients and doctors’ offices. She is always willing to go above and beyond the call of duty.”

As a featured employee of the Stars Incentive Program, Staple’s picture and biography is now posted on the employee bulletin board and she received a tote bag, pin and movie pass. She will also be eligible for the annual grand prize drawing of star nominees.

As part of the hospital’s radiology team, Staple’s primary task is performing a variety of ultrasound exams, mainly abdominal, vascular, obstetrical and gynecological.

When asked what she likes about her job, Staples says she “loves” the daily interactions with patients of all ages.

Staples lives in Farmington with her husband, Jon. They are the parents of a daughter and son. Shannon attends the University of Maine at Farmington, and Byron is a student at Mount Blue High School. During her free time she enjoys cooking, quilting and walking her springer spaniel, Maggie.
