AUBURN – “The addition of Citylink services to the campus further enhances our mission of providing full access to this region’s community college,” said Charles Collins, dean of students at Central Maine Community College.

“This partnership built with Western Maine Transportation and AVCOG that provides low-cost transportation for our students allows more students to access higher education. In addition, as our student population grows we would need to expand existing parking lots, so this bus service promotes a much cleaner, greener way for students to get to campus.”

College staff and students as well as representatives of the Lewiston Auburn Transit Committee and AVCOG boarded the Citylink bus at Auburn’s Great Falls bus station recently for the inaugural trip to the college’s Turner Street campus. Beginning with this ride, regular bus service to Central Maine Community College leaves Auburn’s Great Falls bus station at 7:15, 8:15 and 10:30 a.m., and 4 p.m., and arrives on campus within 15 minutes four times daily, Monday through Friday.

Students attending the college will be charged the $1 regular fare per one-way trip or a monthly student pass can be purchased on campus for $15. The $15 monthly pass offers unlimited rides on all Citylink buses and routes. Citylink serves Auburn and Lewiston, and coordinates with the Lisbon Connection offering free transfers between bus systems.
