STRONG – The Strong Nursing Home staff said they are fortunate to continue having a great group of volunteers and honored them at a celebration recently.
Combined, volunteers gave 130 hours of their time and effort. Services included yard work, scraping and painting outside, laundry and housekeeping tasks, cooking, spending time with residents, visits with pets, Halloween preparations/party, helping with Pine Tree Camp, Family Day, Patriots’ Day, Memorial Day and providing a day of snowmobiling for the residents.
Wayne (Pee Wee) Bachelder, Jebediah Beal, Joe Burdin, Zachary Childs, Katrina Collins, Ashley Cook, Melisa Fall, Lynn Hall, Tim Kennedy, Ryan McHugh and Danika Savage are returning volunteers.
Volunteers receiving pins for their first year of service were Tish Fall, Hunky Hall, Josh Hill, Ariel Kaplan and Elizabeth Roy. Sarah Beal also contributed unofficial “volunteer” hours.
Many were unable to attend the celebration. They all did, however, receive certificates of thanks and a small gift.
