Mrs. Elyce Reavely grew up in Hamden, Connecticut. She decided to teach English, because she wanted a job that allowed her to read and discuss literature often. She went to Southern Connecticut State University for her undergraduate degree. She received a major in English Education and is now pursuing her graduate degree in American and New England studies. She enjoys reading historical fiction, writing, and hiking. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and cat.
She loves the students and faculty at Lewiston High school and finds the area very beautiful. People with true courage inspire her. She admires people they stand up for their beliefs and not the popular idea. That is a little about Mrs. Elyee Reavely, Lewiston High School’s new English teacher.
Mr. Martin McKenna grew up south of San Francisco, California. He went to San Francisco University in 1975 for his Education degree. He was a journalist for twenty years. He quit when his youngest daughter was born so he would be able to raise her. About two years ago he was looking for a challenging career, so he decided to become a teacher. He received his English degree last year at University of Southern Maine. He enjoys spending time fishing, hiking and camping at his camp in Long Island with his family.
He likes the diversity of Lewiston High School and feels very welcome. He enjoys spending time with the people he car pools with. People who give up what they could have to help others are an inspiration to him.
Mrs. Melody Tinkham was raised in Belgrade, Maine. She went to the University of Maine in Farmington and received her degree in Second Education English. She is certified to teach 7-12 grade. She also has a minor in Theater. She decided to teach English, because she enjoys analyzing books and discussing them.
She likes to write poetry and play acoustic guitar with her husband. She loves to spend time outside. She felt very welcomed at Lewiston High School and the students have been very supportive. People with energy and passion, who are not judgmental, inspire her. She is also very approachable and is a good listener.
