OXFORD – Thompson Lake Environmental Association’s annual open house and plant sale will be 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 28, at the association’s headquarters, 345 King St.
Directors and friends will explain the association’s efforts to preserve the high water quality of Thompson Lake.
In addition to assorted plants contributed by members, visitors will have a chance to purchase perennials offered by Bev and Brian Hendricks, new owners of Deer Wood Farm and Gardens in Waterford. Deer Wood, formerly located in Harrison, specializes in day lilies. As in previous years, also available will be a large selection of shrubs from Shaker Hill Nursery in Poland, all of which are especially appropriate for lakeside buffer plantings.
Association sweatshirts, caps, lake maps and other items will also be on hand. Light refreshments will be served. All are welcome to stop in.
