LEWISTON – Sister Elizabeth Madden will share reflections at all the Masses at St. Joseph’s Church, on Saturday and Sunday, June 21 and 22, the feast of Corpus Christi. Madden will speak on “Aspects of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in the Church Today.”

Following the 11:15 a.m. Sunday Mass, there will be Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from 12:15 to 4 p.m., concluding with Vespers (evening prayer) and benediction at 4 p.m. All are welcome.

Madden is a member of the Servants of the Blessed Sacrament in Waterville, which is a contemplative, non-cloistered Eucharistic community with spiritual ministries in the Catholic church.

She has completed studies in theology, scripture and spirituality and is certified in Ignatian spirituality and spiritual direction. Madden is serving as vocation director for the U.S. Province of the Servants of the Blessed Sacrament.

Toastmasters

LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Toastmasters will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, at the Bates Mill Complex first-floor conference room, 35 Canal St.

Blood drive

WINTHROP – A community blood drive will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Thursday, June 26, at St. Francis Parish Hall, Lake Street. The drive is open to all donors.

LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Multiple Sclerosis Support Groups will resume the monthly support group meetings at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, at the Lepage Conference Center, 99 Campus Ave., following a family/friends Fun Day on Sunday, Sept. 7. Scholarship

LEWISTON – The Community Credit Union announces the recipient of the fifth annual Community Credit Union Gerald R. Langelier Scholarship.

The $500 scholarship was awarded to Sarah Gagnon, who graduated from St. Dominic Regional High School. She will attend Stonehill College in the fall.

Bridge league
