GRAY – Fifty-nine students graduated from Royal Academy on June 6 in an evening ceremony at First Parish Congregational Church in Yarmouth.

Students gave the invocation, scriptures and class acknowledgments. The traditional presenting of the roses by the students to their parents was held. Shirley Minster, director, presented the remarks and charge to the class of 2003.

As is the tradition at Royal Academy, each teacher spoke about the students working under her direct supervision throughout the year. Then to demonstrate the importance of parental involvement during the student’s life, each diploma was handed by the teacher to the parent to present to their son or daughter.

Members of the graduating class included student from the following town:

Gray: Matthew Edson, Laura Holland, Jamie Kennedy, Justin Wilson.

Lewiston: Shawna Colson.

New Gloucester: Joshua Maschino, Sean Munsell.

Raymond: Thomas Grieve, Jennie Hawkes, Meghann LaMarre, Jennifer Small, Josiah Webber.

Windham: Seth Cote, Cory Moore.
