PERU – Faith Baptist Church Youth Group on Auburn Road in Peru recently celebrated the end of their third year with a closing awards program.

Sixty-four young people, ranging in ages from 2 to 18 were registered on this years’ roster. They gathered every other Tuesday evening since October for two hours packed with bible study, bible memory, missionary stories, game time and food.

The final night started with a bible message. After games of volleyball and soccer, all enjoyed pizza and soda.

A total of 28 trophies were awarded to 16 young people for memorizing many bible verses and completing projects, such as “Servant’s Heart Project” where the student had to answer questions after reading passages from the bible and then do five helpful things for other people to show their servant’s heart.

Youth Director Mitch Bickford expressed his appreciation for adults who helped out this year: Pastor and Anita Andrews, George and Tracy Andrews, Katie Billings, Brent and Carol Hadley, Will and Renee Parker and Mark Remeika.
