BUCKFIELD – The 19th annual Warren family reunion was held on July 11 at the home of Mark and Anna Morneau. The gathering included the families of the late F. Milton and Verlie Warren.
Two hundred and eleven people attended from Buckfield, Monmouth, Turner, Leeds, Greene, Auburn, Lisbon Falls, Jay, Gorham, East Livermore, Livermore, South Berwick, Gardiner, Buxton, Lewiston, Bangor, Dedham, Hartford, Hebron, Winthrop, Sumner, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Virginia and Texas.
Traveling the farthest distance were John Warren Sr., John Warren Jr., Jon and Rebekah Warren Allen, Marcus and Jacob, all from Texas; youngest, Olivia Mackenzie born on May 14 to Nichole and Brian DeRosa; eldest, Art Robinson.
There were three college graduates, two high school graduates, six weddings, five births and one death reported during the year. Luke Robinson and Allison Burhoe received $50 scholarships.
Helen Hadley led the program with readings by Walter Warren and Errol Additon. Cami Warren performed a solo with keyboard. Roland Warren’s family of 48 members entertained with songs. A pie-baking contest was held. Polly Jones was the winner of the apple pies and Jacky Meggison was the winner of the strawberry pies. The pies were auctioned along with other items.
Next year’s reunion will be held at Mary Robinson Grant’s home in Auburn on July 10.
