Jones reunion

STRONG – The 88th Jones reunion, descendants of John and Mary Rand Jones, whose children were Sarah Furbush, John A., Mary Titcomb, Charles D., and B. Frank, will meet at 11 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 20, with Andrew II and Kendra Pratt on Beanies Beach Road, Porter Lake.

Lunch will be a noon potluck; bring food, utensils, folding chairs. A meeting will be held following dinner.

STRATTON – The Dead River Area Historical Society’s pictorial 2007 calendars are available. The cover features Stratton High School Class of 1957 – 50 Years Ago with John Wilbur, Arlene Knowles, Bette Sue Townsend, Ada Bachelder, Paul Taylor, Phil Wyman, Billy Jones, Diana Phelps, Clayton Hennigar and Diane Leclair.

The calendars are at Pine’s Market, Northland Cash and Fotter’s Market. People can send $6, plus $2 for postage, for each calendar to Dead River Area Historical Society, PO Box 15, Stratton, Maine 04982.
