OXFORD – The new Tractor Supply Co. store on Route 26 will open at 8 a.m. Saturday.
“We’ve put the store completely together. It is about 94 percent stocked today,” Manager Jeff Hines said Monday.
He said the 17 full-time and part-time employees have been going through training in recent weeks.
“We’re excited about opening our doors and welcoming customers,” Hines said. “We’re ready to serve our neighbors in Oxford and the surrounding communities.”
Tractor Supply Co. is the largest retail farm and ranch supply store chain in the United States with 830 stores in 44 states. Another store is slated to open this summer in Lewiston.
The store at 1272 Main St. has 19,097 square feet, including sales floor and support service space. A fenced exterior space offers a display area for items such as fencing, sprayers and livestock equipment.
A grand opening is planned for late March.
The company offers merchandise for the health, care, growth and containment of horses, livestock and pets; agricultural products; and tools and hardware. In addition, the company sells light truck equipment, work clothing and seasonal products including lawn and garden power equipment products.
