Since the beginning of October anyone after school at St. Dominic’s senses something different. The floors are shaking from the noise the new jazz band is making at their practices. The word noise suggests lack of harmony though, and that is the exact opposite of the sound this band produces. Even though the ensemble is young, Mr. Seamus Greisbach manages to lead the band so they catch the groove on every song. The jazz band played at the St. Dom’s open house for the families of possible new students. The new band has been welcomed with rave reviews, and questions about a performance. The band should be making an appearance at the St. Don’s variety show for charity on December 6. If you can’t make it to that then you can wait until they get booked to play Carnegie Hall.
