WEST PARIS – To remember and honor American veterans, past and present, the Ring-McKeen American Legion Post will be presenting a parade and special ceremonies on Sunday, Nov. 11.

According to auxiliary member and former Town Clerk Dian Rainey, the parade, which will kick off at 1:30 p.m., will be assembling at 1 p.m. at the Agnes Gray School on Main Street.

From the school the parade will march down Main Street to the town’s war memorial at the intersection of Main and Maple streets. At the memorial, the new granite benches will be dedicated, town officials and veterans will offer words regarding the many sacrifices given by the towns, and those who have served their country.

It is hoped by all involved in the planning for this special event that there will be a good turnout to show respect and gratitude for veterans.
