PARIS – A teenager was flown to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston early Tuesday morning after suffering head injuries in a car accident.
Police Chief David Verrier said Brian Gould, 18, of Ellingwood Road was traveling north on Ryerson Hill Road when the accident occurred. The 1996 Plymouth Neon he was in knocked over a utility pole, rolled over a stone wall, and came to a rest on the driver’s side in the woods.
Gould was partially ejected from the vehicle and suffered head injuries. He was taken by LifeFlight helicopter to CMMC. A hospital spokesperson said Tuesday afternoon that Gould was not listed as a patient there.
Verrier said the case is under investigation by Lt. Michael Dailey.
Gould was the sole occupant of the vehicle, which is registered to Peter Priest of Otisfield. The car sustained an estimated $5,000 damage.
Officer Anthony Keach responded to the scene, as well as the Paris Fire Department and PACE Ambulance. The damage to the utility line was repaired by Central Maine Power shortly after the accident.
