A 61-year-old Windham man faces one count of operating under the influence after he crashed his car shortly before 7 a.m. Monday, police said.
Police and firefighters responded to Brands Road about 6:50 a.m., where they found a vehicle on it side. Joel L. Thompson was stuck inside, sitting on the ground through an open car window but unable to climb out.
Firefighters removed the windshield and extracted Thompson before they transported him to Maine Medical Center with minor cuts to his hands, Windham police said.
Thompson was issued a summons for operating under the influence.
