PARIS – Paris selectmen on Monday voted 5-0 to give $62,647 from the town’s Community Development Block Grant account to Community Concepts to construct a single-family home for a Paris Hill Road couple.

Former Town Manager Steve McAllister in October said the project is intended to help a woman on disability who had major surgery and now uses a wheelchair.

Selectmen agreed to work with Community Concepts to construct a handicapped-accessible, two-bedroom home for the couple. McAllister had estimated the cost of the project at $45,000.
