AUBURN – The Last Trip to Canada Rx Express returned to Auburn on Oct. 14 with the 10 participating seniors achieving savings of $19,211 on a year’s worth of prescription medications. The average savings per participant was 50 percent of what the same medication would cost in the United States.

Local participants included Ed and Mary Mallet from Mexico who saved $5,726, and Dorothy MacDonald from Waterford who saved $600 on a single prescription.

Trip sponsors included Oxford County Democrats, the Rumford Eagles Club and many individual contributions.
