Club meeting

OXFORD – The Lake Thompson Fish and Game will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 1, at the clubhouse on Paine Road in East Oxford. Anyone interested in the 6:30 p.m. potluck supper is asked to bring a hot dish, salad, or dessert to share. Stanley to speak

PARIS – The Deering Memorial United Methodist Church will hold its public Lenten luncheon at noon Thursday, April 1, at the stone church at the corner of Church and Main streets. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Anne Stanley, pastor of the Christ Episcopal Church of Norway.

BRIDGTON – Shawnee Peak will host the Rock Maple Racing Hillcross and Sno-X Saturday and Sunday, April 3 and 4, at the ski resort, 734 Mountain Road. Benefit supper

LOCKE MILLS – A supper and dance will be held Saturday, April 3, to benefit Jeff and Calla Tyler, who lost their home to fire in January. The menu will offer beans, casseroles, salads and pies. Serving will begin at 5:30 p.m. Dancing will follow with music by the Richard Felt Band. A 50/50 drawing and raffles will also be included. Admission is $6 for ages 12 and up; $3 for under age 12. Bingo benefit

MINOT – The Minot Community Club will sponsor its third annual basket bingo at noon Saturday, April 3, at the Minot Consolidated School, 23 Shaw Hill Road. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. Tickets are $10 in advance or $13 at the door. There will be a light lunch, refreshments, popcorn and bake table available. Proceeds benefit the playground fund.

Singer set

NORWAY – Bill Shamamura, a singer and songwriter from western Maine, will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 3, at Fare Share Commons, 443 Main St. Tickets are $10 at the door, which open at 6 p.m. People can bring their own refreshments.
