MEXICO – The following incidents were handled by the Mexico Police Department recently.
Arrest
Peter Scott, 44, Roberta St., Farmingdale, on warrants for failure to pay fines, at 2:23 p.m. May 7. He was released from the Mexico Police Department on $480 cash bail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Aug. 4.
Theft
A River Road business reported at 8:47 a.m. May 14 that someone had stolen an older model Yamaha three-wheel all-terrain vehicle the night before. The vehicle is valued at $500. Police have suspects.
Vandalism
Police received a report at 9:04 a.m. May 11 that someone had broken into the concession stand and the tool shed at the Mexico Recreation Park on Route 17. The locks, valued at $50, to both doors were broken. Police have suspects.
A Third Street resident reported at 10 a.m. May 11 that someone had plucked the tulips growing in her yard. Police have suspects.
