DIXFIELD – Two residents have returned nomination papers for two seats on the Board of Selectmen.

Incumbent Norine Clarke will seek a second, three-year term on the board.

She and her husband, Ralph, who reside on Blayne Street, operate Log Cabin Craftworks on Main Street. Clarke has been active in a variety of municipal and community activities for many years.

Steve Donahue had served as a selectman for several years prior to this most recent run.

He is employed at NewPage Corp. in Rumford.

Current Selectman Brad Dyer, an employee of a cell phone company, chose not to run for re-election.

Residents will vote during the June 9 primary election at the American Legion Hall on Main Street.

Other selectmen are Chairwoman Bettina Martin, James Desjardins and Raymond Carlton.

The annual town meeting takes place at 6 p.m. May 28 at Dirigo Middle School.
