MEXICO – A local man who fled on foot early Wednesday afternoon from a routine traffic stop on Mitchell Street had not been found late Wednesday night.

An arrest warrant charging operating after suspension and resisting arrest was issued for Joshua Hussey, 31, formerly of Mexico and Peru.

After Officer Brad Gallant stopped Hussey’s car at about 1 p.m., Hussey took off running, police Chief Jim Theriault said. That prompted a search by local and State Police, he said.

Anyone with information on Hussey’s whereabouts is asked to call Mexico police at 364-5686.
