RUMFORD – The Rumford Police Department responded to 74 complaints from 6 a.m. April 6 to midnight April 13.
Arrests/summonses
On April 7 at 8:28 a.m., Eddie Sanders, 42, of Rumford was arrested by Patrolman Scott Mills on warrants from Oxford and Cumberland counties for failure to pay fines for an assault, criminal threatening, terrorizing and operating after suspension. Sanders was unable to post bail and was taken to the Oxford County Jail.
On April 8 at 1:50 p.m., Daniel Flagg, 32, of Carthage was arrested by Capt. Daniel Garbarini on an Androscoggin County warrant for failure to appear for a theft. Flagg was unable to post bail and was taken to the Oxford County Jail.
On April 8 at 2:36 p.m., Raymond Thomas, 41, of Rumford was summoned by Detective Sgt. James Bernard for illegal possession of a scheduled drug (cocaine). Thomas is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on June 2.
On April 9 at 4:22 a.m., Jason Hill, 29, of Rumford was summoned by Patrolman Scott Mills for illegal possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal possession of a scheduled drug. Hill is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on June 2.
On April 9 at 11:25 a.m., Rodney Morant, 38, of Mexico, was arrested by Patrolman Lawrence Winson for operating after suspension. Morant posted $1,000 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on June 2.
On April 11 at 3:39 p.m., David Long, 30, of Rumford was arrested by Patrolman Lawrence Winson on an outstanding warrant and for illegal possession of a scheduled drug. Long is scheduled to appear in Oxford County Superior Court in Paris on June 18.
Theft
On April 9 at 9:27 a.m., a Waldo Street establishment reported approximately $1,100 to $1,200 was stolen. Incident is under investigation.
Assaults
On April 7 at 8:53 p.m., a Rumford resident reported being assaulted on the stairs leaving the brick park on the way toward York Street by an unknown man. The incident is under investigation.
On April 11 at 4:27 p.m., Rumford resident reported a 9-year-old boy being struck by a 17-year-old female suspect with a hockey stick. Incident is under investigation with possible charges.
On April 11 at 5:23 p.m., Waldo Street resident reported being assaulted but refused to press charges.
On April 12 at 7:31 p.m., Route 108 resident reported his 14-year-old son was assaulted and threatened by a 17-year-old juvenile. Parent wanted the event documented.
Criminal mischief
On April 6 at 7:20 a.m., Washington Street resident reported someone threw a rock into the windshield of his 1971 GMC pickup. Estimated damage listed at $500. Incident under investigation.
On April 6 at 10:32 a.m., Knox Street resident reported someone damaged the mirror on her vehicle by taking out the glass and spreading trash all over the road. Incident under investigation.
On April 9 at 1:53 a.m., Crescent Avenue resident reported someone egged his house.
On April 12 at 8:31 a.m., Route 2 Rumford Center resident reported damage to a mailbox. No damage estimate listed and incident is under investigation.
Wanted
Steven Perrault, 34, of Rumford is wanted on four 2008 warrants.
