RUMFORD – Democrats from Rumford, Mexico, Roxbury, Byron, Dixfield and Peru will hold their 2006 caucus meetings at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, at Mountain Valley High School in Rumford.
Those who would like to register to vote and enroll as Democrats may do so at 12:30 p.m. Caucus conveners for the towns holding caucus meetings at MVHS are John Patrick for Rumford, Roxbury and Byron; Roland LaLiberty for Dixfield; Linda Petrie for Mexico; and Bill Hine for Peru.
Other towns will hold their caucuses elsewhere. These include Andover at the Town Hall at 1 p.m. with Pam Pace as convener; Canton at the Fire Station at 6 p.m. with Mary Dube as convener; and Milton Plantation and Hanover at Telstar High School at 3:30 p.m. with Scott Billings and Shirley Powell as conveners.
A complete list of all Oxford County towns and their Democratic caucus times is available on the Maine Democratic Party Web site at www.mainedems.org. Those attending the caucus meetings are asked to bring $1 or more for Gov. John Baldacci’s Keep ME Warm fund, which provides heating assistance for those in need.
Individuals who would like to contribute Clean Elections qualifying $5 donations to legislative candidates should bring their checkbooks to the caucus.
