DIXFIELD – Members of the Dixfield Comprehensive Plan Committee are to meet at 7 p.m. today in the community room at Ludden Memorial Library.

The group has been charged with updating the town’s 1983 development plan, which was revised in 1989. Their goal is to identify what future community characteristics are desired by Dixfield residents, and establish a work program to realize those characteristics.

When completed, the plan, said Town Manager Nanci Allard, should identify how to best manage change so that the town’s values and characteristics are maintained and enhanced.

A representative from the Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments is expected to attend the meeting to give the committee guidance, Allard said.
