Quilters meeting

MEXICO – The Ladies of the Lake Quilters will meet from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, July 15, at the Mexico Historical Society Building. Each quilter will be working on a different project, which will show many styles of quilting.

Treasures sale

RUMFORD – The Village Improvement Society will sponsor a sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 17, at the Meeting House on Route 2. For more than 20 years the Community Food and Treasures Sale has been held at the Meeting House. Treasures include clothing, antiques, holiday decorations and toys. Homemade foods, including doughnuts, are featured. Hot dogs are also available.
