MEXICO – A burglary was discovered late Tuesday night by police responding to an alarm from the Mexico One Stop convenience store on Roxbury Road.

Chief James Theriault said Wednesday that officer Michael Richard arrived at the store shortly after receiving an 11:25 p.m. call from an Oxford County dispatcher in Paris alerting him to the alarm. At the scene, Richard discovered that someone had smashed out the glass front door with a brick, ran inside and taken a carton of cigarettes and a 12-pack of Budweiser Light beer.

“When we reviewed the video surveillance tape, it showed the suspect as a male dressed in black clothes,” Theriault said.
