• July 24, 8:30 p.m. – A reported argument over property lines at a Pine Street residence drew warnings from police after one resident reported damage done to her property.

• July 24, 2:30 a.m. – An officer investigating a reported disturbance on Weld Street returned to his cruiser to learn someone had damaged it. The case is being investigated.

• July 19, 3:40 p.m. – An unidentified Dixfield resident reported seeing someone seemingly tearing up McGouldrick Park with an all-terrain vehicle. Two people were located and one issued a warning against further similar activity. The case remains open.

• July 19, 11:15 a.m. – A Highland Avenue resident reported that his friend’s vehicle had been burglarized two nights earlier.

• July 17 – A rash of vehicle burglaries occurred sometime during the night. Officer Matt Noyes is investigating.

At 3:45 p.m., a Main Street resident reported that his vehicles had been broken into.

At 12:55 p.m., a Highland Avenue resident reported that his vehicle had been burglarized.

At 12:10 p.m., a Weld Street resident reported that her vehicle had been broken into and ransacked.

At 9:55 a.m., a Coburn Avenue resident reported a burglarized vehicle.

At 9:30 a.m., another Coburn Avenue resident reported that her car had been broken into and property taken. But the property, which police didn’t identify, was found and recovered nearby.

At 9:25 a.m., a Park Avenue resident reported his vehicle had been burglarized and property stolen.

At 8 a.m., a Coburn Avenue resident reported her vehicle had been burglarized.

At 5:45 a.m., a Third Street resident reported a car burglary and theft of property from inside the vehicle.

Police are asking that anyone who may have witnessed unusual activity in these areas to contact Dixfield police or Noyes at 562-4517.

• July 16, 9:15 a.m. – A Rumford man reported that he had been assaulted and seriously injured at a Dixfield residence the previous night.

• July 15, 11:50 a.m. – A Dixfield resident reported that all-terrain vehicle riders have been causing damage at McGouldrick Park. Juveniles reportedly causing the problem were spoken to.

• July 13, 8:20 p.m – A Dixfield girl reported that she had been assaulted at a Dixfield residence earlier in the evening. An investigation revealed that a domestic assault had taken place between two juveniles, and that no charges were being sought at that time. The matter was handed over to parental authority for resolution.

• July 12, 9:20 p.m. – An East Dixfield resident reported being harassed by a neighbor. Police spoke with some of the parties involved. The matter remains under investigation.

• July 11, 4:05 p.m. – An East Dixfield resident reported a noise disturbance. All parties were spoken with and encouraged to be considerate of each other.

• July 11 – A local businessman reported having received several checks drawn on closed accounts. The fraud case remains under investigation.

• July 11 – An officer patrolling Main Street heard a noise of glass breaking but was unable to locate the person responsible immediately.

Arrests

All of the following are to be arraigned on Sept. 7 in Rumford District Court:

• Christopher L. Taylor, 43, of Dixfield, on charges of terrorizing and obstructing report of a crime or injury, at about 9 p.m. on July 23 at his Taylor Road residence.

• Dana McKeen, 18, of Dixfield, on a Franklin County warrant for failure to pay fines, on July 19. He was released on bail.

• Jonathan R. Mitchell, 29, of Oregon, on charges of receiving stolen property, operating after suspension, attaching false registration plates, and operation of a defective motor vehicle, at 6:45 a.m. on July 18. Mitchell was also summonsed for possession of a usable amount of marijuana. He was transported to Oxford County Jail in Paris.

• Fiore DiPietrantonio, 31, of Waterville, on a Cumberland County warrant, at 6 p.m. on July 12 at a High Street residence. He was taken to Oxford County Jail to await transport to Cumberland County Jail.
