KINGFIELD – Twelve cases of beer and six bottles of wine were stolen from Longfellow’s Restaurant sometime late Wednesday or early Thursday. It looks like the Main Street restaurant was entered through a back door sometime before the snow stopped, Franklin County Deputy Ken Charles said. He estimated the burglary occurred between 10 p.m. Wednesday and 1 a.m. Thursday. There was some minor damage done when a storage room was broken into, Charles said.

Police have conducted some interviews and are following some leads, he said.
