Rickards’ display

FARMINGTON – Artist Carol Rickards has been named artist of the month at Heirlooms of Tomorrow where her work will be displayed during January.

Rickards says of her work: “Although I have a fascination with abstract and conceptual ideas, my heart lies in realism.”

The Peru artist is known for detailed paintings of animals, birds, homes, barns and landscapes found in Maine.

Hospice program

WILTON – The Family Caregiver Support Group will meet from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11 at SeniorsPlus on Route 2 east. A representative from Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice will speak to the group. SeniorsPlus serves Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford counties. Show-and-tell

LIVERMORE – Charity Rebekah Lodge of Livermore Falls will meet Wednesday, Jan. 12, at the hall at 284 Federal Road in Livermore. A 12:30 p.m. lunch will be served before the 1:30 meeting. Betty Gillespie and Norma Lucarelli are the hostesses.

This will be a show-and-tell meeting, with members bringing an unusual Christmas gift.
