LIVERMORE – A benefit maintenance golf scramble is scheduled to tee-off at 10 a.m. Saturday, at the Maple Lane Golf Course on River Road.
It is 18 holes after nine holes, organizer Maurice Moreau said.
American Express Financial Advisers of Jay plans to furnish hot dogs for those who want to rest before continuing to play.
Different businesses are providing sponsorship for a variety of events, including closest to the tee, which is $50 prizes for both women and men at two different holes, Moreau said.
There will also be prizes of $50 for the longest drive for both men and women.
There are individual sponsors for tee boxes, with at least nine prizes.
It costs $35 to play and that amount includes a spaghetti and meatball supper.
There will be substantial prizes as well for the winners of the tournament being donated by local businesses, Moreau said.
All proceeds from the tee fees will go to improvements on the Maple Lane Golf Course.
The number of players is limited to 90 with half the field already filled.
To register to play phone Moreau at 897-5117 or Sue St. Pierre at 897-3343.
